The so called New castle at Aluksne, Pils street 70 has been constructed as the living house of the dukes Vietinghof – Scheel in the style of neogothic, probably by the architect J.D.Felsko. Its stylistics is rooted in the shape of the Tudor gothic. The stucture is a listed building and part of the Aluksne manor ensemble. The object, whose designing process has lasted for more than 10 years, this year has acquired the Diploma of Recognition from the Latvian Society of Architects.
