The Matzah stove has been identified within the Rezekne Green Synagogue. The preservation and restoration of this unique artefact has been intended as the part of the restoration of the whole structure.
The stove for baking the ritual bread Matzah (Matzo, Matza) was recognized, thanks to the consultations with architect Sergey Rizh. It was constructed as part of the Synagogue refurbishment, carried out in 1939.
